And it's not filled with terms of endearment.

Suposedly, Shirley's daughter Sachi Parker, who's now 56, has written a bitter memoir called Lucky Me: My Life With--and Without--My Mom.

It threatens to be the new Momie Dearest, or at least the new My Mother's Keeper (the sour tome written by Bette Davis's daughter B.D. Hyman, which sent Bette into a spiral of despair.)

According to a source quoted in The National Enquirer, the book tells of Shirley sending little Sachi off to live with her dad (producer Steve Parker) in Japan so Shirley could party and be free.

Well, I've read Shirley's books and she paints a different, way more loving picture.

But I'm starting to wonder if Sachi has gone to see Bernie and cheered when the gay funeral director murders the arrogant, rich lady played by poor Shirley.

mum could have been a sociopath, they wear many masks, and care a lot about how they look to others. no surprise that those who enjoy the limelight may bw such creatures. politics & entertainment fields are full of them. power & admiration are drugs to them.

Even better, reports are that Debra Winger is writing the book's foreward.

In typical fashion, the real problem between Sacha and Shirley likely isn't the problem being discussed. It probably has more to do with the current status of Shirley's last will and testament.

Moral of the story: Never underestimate the commercial potential of exposes written by the wronged 'n' resentful children of celebrities.

See, if Lady Mary had married Sir Richard Carlysle, he could have snuffed Sachi before the book ever saw daylight. Now what is poor Mrs. Levinson to do? And will Cora have a similar tome to share with the world?

Who will Shirl leave her Malibu apartment bldg. , Santa Fe home , and all her $$$ to ? These gaul -darn kids just have no respect. Or , to paraphrase Faye, as Mommie ,' Here I treat you to a nice life, and all I get is smart backtalk' - or in this case, another mommie hating book.

This kind of memoir (fill-in-the-blank celeb was a bad parent) is getting  very tired.

I already knew that about Satchi, in fact I think I read it in one of Shirley's books. But there are lots of movie stars' kids who grew up without their moms -- Joan Fontaine, Ingrid Bergman, Ruth Gordon all come to mind... Not Marlene though, her daughter was write in their helping Mom squeeze into her corset.

Shirely told Sachi, "GET A LIFE! I've got plenty!"
