Be prepared, freedom seekers.

It seems as if the public outcry, withdrawal of support, and nonstop dissing of the Boy Scouts for their gay ban policies have led to serious results.

CNN has picked up this story:

"The Boy Scouts are 'discussing potentially removing the national membership restriction regarding sexual orientation,' according to Deron Smith, director of public relations for the Boy Scouts of America.

The Scouts' current policy denies membership to 'individuals who are open or avowed homosexuals or who engage in behavior that would become a distraction to the mission of the BSA,' the group's website says. There are over 2.5 million youth members and over 1 million adult members nationwide, according to the BSA website."

And now, one hopes, there can be even more. And they can be honest too. It's the best policy, after all.

Yes, but now they can be openly gay.

Wait. The Boy Scouts AREN'T gay? Then what was I doing in those tents all those years?

I mean, besides learning to tie knots.

And Chick filA supposedly has stopped contributing to anti gay groups. The culture wars are indeed over.
