A Fashion Week Beautification Offer I Can't Refuse! Could You?
A man handed me the above card at the fashion show for Academy of Art University on Friday night.
I got so excited! All I have to do is get six haircuts and my seventh one will be free!
This is sort of like those coupons that say, "Ten percent off anything you purchase over $10,000."
Not exactly practical, and yet I'm considering it. After all, I need seven haircuts.
The show, by the way, was expectedly terrific, since the University (founded in San Francisco) is known for fostering young talent and expression. For their presentation, they trotted out a mixture of collaborative efforts, including some knitwear ensembles that brilliantly gussied up the ski lodge in my mind.
At the show, I also got to talk to Miss USA about how she likes colorful resort-style fashion.
And I know what kind of accessory she likes--she was sitting with Miss Teen USA!
Amazingly, I rode my bike there through the blizzard and I even pedaled it back home.
It wasn't that bad--but after all that wind and snow, I really need those haircuts.
