Well at least it's mostly men. Call me sexist but I think girls in the gay clubs have absolutely ruined the music (Beyonce, Rihanna, Kesha,,i refuse to do the $ for that tramp), I was listening to the mix from the new MrClubmans article...hidge.

Timothy Hutton in Ordinary People - In no way is he a supporting actor. The film's about his character.

Christoph Waltz in Inglourious Basterds - again, and given how close the two characters are, I call his performance in Django Unchained 'Hans Landa the good guy'.

Jennifer Connelly in A Beautiful Mind!

Catherine Zeta-Jones in Chicago - she has all the big numbers in the musical and it's not about Roxie, it's about TWO CRIMINAL SHOWGIRLS. If Richard Gere is lead, how's she supporting?

Benicio Del Toro in Traffic - this was really a huge category fraud! It's a big ensemble, but he's the heart of the film and certainly has more screen time than his co-stars.

Marcia Gay Harden in Pollock - come on, she's in nearly EVERY SCENE.

Rachel Weisz in The Constant Gardener - the whole movie is circling around her character. And if you just take a look and see that Reese Witherspoon won LEAD for a supporting performance. Well...

Jennifer Hudson in Dreamgirls - this was a ridiculous FRAUD.

Javier Bardem in No Country For Old Men - definitely borderline supporting but he could have been in lead as well.

Christian Bale in The Fighter - yes, he isn't The Fighter, but he's a co-lead. It's about the two brothers. Not just Mark Wahlberg.

And if you imagine that back in the Golden Age stars wanted to be lead so badly and Rosalind Russell refused to be campaigned supporting for Picnic!!!

Wish I'd hung onto my Anvil membership card....anyone remember with that you got a "buy x-amount of drinks, get one free?" The bartenders would actually punch a hole in yr (not yr membership card)but yr drink card [members only]when you bought one!
