And quite possibly--in fact, it's almost a done deal, according to what someone overheard last night--Carol Channing.

Looks like with the burnt-down Pavilion reopening in the Pines to lots of hoopla, the Grove will stay relevant thanks to some good old show biz!

Congrats to promoter Daniel Nardicio.

She can sing -- after a fashion -- and tell jokes disguised as "stories" and do her basso profundo Sophie Tucker voice and -- most importantly -- make you laugh.

Even though, as she says,"I'm titanium from the waist down."

And, as Savannah noted, she can still whistle, very important when you're telling your Cecilia Sissuns "story."
