As you know, Rawhide--the leather establishment that's drawn fetishists and their fans to Chelsea since 1979--is being squeezed out because the landlord practically doubled the rent.
But the buzz you've heard is true:
The leather lives on!
A month or two after their March 31 closing, the joint will resurface on 58th and 3rd, on the same stretch of land as the mature-man's piano bar the Townhouse and the godforsaken Evolve.
Eventually, I bet they'll all be under one roof as a strip mall called Twisted Sisters, and it'll include a Chipotle. I hope!
