As part of the worldwide surge of love for ailing Valerie Harper, the kids on datalounge.com have come up with a compilation of the best lines she uttered as feistily endearing Bronx baby Rhoda Morgenstern on The Mary Tyler Mooore Show (which of course spun off the immortal Rhoda).

Here are some of the choicest ones, all of which were given crackerjack delivery by the brill Ms. Harper:

"This is my date, Mr. and Mrs. Armand Linton."

"The last time I wore an 8, it was on my softball uniform."

"I have to lose 10 pounds by 8:30."

"I don't know why I'm putting this in my mouth. I should just apply it to my hips."

"I decided to move out of the house when I was 24. My mother still refers to this as the time I ran away from home. Eventually I ran to Minneapolis, where it's cold and I figured I'd keep better."

"Ma, Mary already knows about the wonderful thing that happens once a month."

"I didn't come in third. I won!"

She sure did. There was something about the Mary-Rhoda relationship that was irreplaceable--and indestructible. Love you, Valerie!

Possibly my favorite, from the 4th season MTM ep, "Angels in the Snow":  "I gotta go over my checkbook.  Something's wrong--it balances."

The way she introduces herself at a party:  "Hello, I'm another person in the room."

Great lines. Combined with her delivery, it was classic.
