The Pain Of Being Someone Who Urges Celebs To Come Out
It's not all thrills and glory, believe it or not.
From "In & Out"
For years, I say:
"Being gay is wonderful. There's nothing wrong with it. People should be proud to be gay.
"And representation is so important. They should come out and be honest and not only will their own lives improve, but the whole world will be a better place."
And I'm vilified and shouted down and told off and screamed at that it's none of my business.
And then years later, the celeb says:
"Being gay is wonderful. There's nothing wrong with it. People should be proud to be gay.
"And representation is so important. Everyone should come out and be honest and not only will their own lives improve, but the whole world will be a better place."
And people cheer and throw bouquets!
Still, I'm thrilled that things have advanced this far and congratulate everyone who helped that happen.
