Clay's Aiken Breakin' Heart

Posted by Michael Musto at 2:00 PM, January 30, 2008

Clay Aiken raises his eyebrows in "an arch, queeny way." That's one of the things we learn in this week's enjoyable New York Magazine profile of the singer, along with the fact that he's widely assumed to be gay and also doesn't have a social life. "The only reason people go to bars is to get drunk and have sex," moans Aiken to reporter Ariel Levy. "To me, bars are what hell is like." Yeah, that's why he trolls around online! The article doesn't mention Clay's much tabloided hookup with John Paulus, but it does make a nod to Clay's affection for his beloved mama—a huge gay signifier, second only to owning a boxed set of Glenn Close films. By the way, Clay—who looks like a lesbian—is in town to play Lady of the Lake, I mean Sir Robin, in Spermalot, I mean Spamalot.

There's been a mistake. Why did we run a photo of k.d. lang?

Posted by: musto at January 30, 2008 6:35 PM

Isn't Clay Aikin pathetic? He represents everything that is wrong with these tight-ass Republicans.

Posted by: Liz at January 30, 2008 6:36 PM

I love Clay. How can you say he is gay? You just don't know him like I know him. He is the most amazing singer in the whole wide world and he is a true humanitarian - he donated money to poor children in some far away country. I hope to one day marry Clay and then he can sing sweet nothings in my ear as we go to sleep in our twin beds. You should be ashamed of yourself for trashing him. As a 50 year old mother of 5 living in the Bible belt - I know what a gay person looks like and Clay Aiken is NOT gay - he is a performer!

Homophobic idiot (or gay himself)

Posted by: Virgo at January 30, 2008 9:14 PM

You people need to grow up. You act like a bunch of elementary school kids. And I'm fairly convinced its because you don't have anything intelligent to say. Come to think of it, elementary school kids are more mature than you are.

Oh, and don't believe everything the you read in print. If I did, I'd actually believe the comments yall have made.

Posted by: JD at January 30, 2008 10:00 PM

What a bunch of losers. Musto believes only the worst!!
Liz, One of the millions of things you don't know is that Clay is not and never was a Republican. You idiots make me gag with your unwarranted comments that only reflect your ignorance!!

Posted by: stanann at January 31, 2008 2:31 AM

Ack! when I saw the pic I thought it was a Lesbian (no offense Ladies) dressed up for the senior prom...in Ireland.

Posted by: Christopher at January 31, 2008 3:22 AM

You people have nothing better to write about or speak about! Talk about pathetic. Its YOU all. Just because Clay loves his mother means nothing about his sexual preference. He is an honorable man with integrity, which none of you would know anything about. btw...Clay is not Replublican. He's actually registered Democrat. Oh no! A Democrat? Gee, you might have to come up with something else to say. Get a life, people! And if I were you, I wouldn't throw stones at glass houses.

Posted by: DL at January 31, 2008 8:03 AM

This article is a thoughtless example of intolerance and shows no respect of someone's privacy. It is both shallow and primitive to describe a person through his sexuality and if Clay Aiken wants to keep this part of his life just to himself it is his right.

Posted by: Hanna at January 31, 2008 8:21 AM

It is amazing the negative things that are written about Clay Aiken. I think that Clay is a wonderful human being who continually gives from his heart to help others. Because HE IS NOT a "Bad Boy" he is called all kind of names and judged on everything and anything. Too bad these reports or stories are not based on fact. I guess that SMUT sells more than truth. Sad...does this mean that those who do good things and are a positive role model are dissed while those who constantly act like out of control animals are treated with respect ? Shame.

Posted by: Lee at January 31, 2008 8:37 AM

Wow, how can you be so stupid to insult someone when you personally do not know them???? You reporters are gay looking for someone to go out with???
You are need to grow up and contribute to society. What have you done..???
I LOVE YOU CLAY

Posted by: Kelsey at January 31, 2008 8:44 AM

MUSTO........
YOU ARE A DISGUSTING EXCUSE FOR A HUMAN BEING.

WHY DO YOU GAYS H A T E CLAY SO MUCH ???

YOU ARE REPORTING THINGS THAT HAVE EITHER BEEN RECANTED (BY PAULUS) OR HAVE NO VALIDITY.

YOU'D BETTER CHANGE YOUR WAYS OR YOU'LL WIND UP IN HELL FOREVER.
DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE FATHER OF LIES, WHOSE LIES YOU ARE SPREADING.

Posted by: JULIE at January 31, 2008 11:25 AM

Paulus has recanted all these things.
Everyone loves their moms (well not some of the uglies of the world and those who have mean moms!) but most are not STRONG enough to say it.
I see many people realizing Clay is a tremendous talent, and new fans wonder what all this b a s h i n g is about.
If you want to make the world a better place, contribute in a positive way.
IF Clay is really a no talent, he'll die out.
I believe he is extremely talented..and have you noticed he is GROWING.

I have a boxed set of Glenn Close movies and Brokeback Mountain and I love hanging out at Home Depot. Waaaaaaaaaa!! Thanks for pointing out I've been living a lie and I'm really a lesbian.

Musto, you've never trolled online? You should try it, might relieve some of that pent-up hostility you're carrying around.

Posted by: ohno at January 31, 2008 11:50 AM

Wishful gays are always hopeful that Clay would become one of them and support their cause of turning everyone in the world gay. Dream on!

Posted by: Nellis at January 31, 2008 1:12 PM

Clay Aiken pathetic? Yet, you're the one reading a story about him...hmm, looking up stuff about pathetic people. Interesting. And, wait, what have you done to help humanity and society other than bashing heterosexual amazing people? Wait, that's not helping, that's insecurities. Clay Aiken is an amazing person and has done more for this country and those around us than you have even ever dreamt about!
Clay even told Diane Sawyer that she was being rude for asking whether he's gay. No matter howww many times he says he's not gay, the sex-obsessed media and derranged sex-obsessed-media-fans will still believe he's gay, thus taking the stand he has taken in not answering any question like that again.
He looks like a lesbian? Have you see the other guy playing this part too? Funnyyy how they both have to have the same length and color hair. Jealous maybe? - Of his gorgeous hair and perfect skin? You probably should be seeing as how you probably are a sit-at-home couch potato living off of your mother or girlfriend (if you can get one) eating greasy potato-chips going no where in life. Leave Clay alone.

"Clay Aiken is an amazing person and has done more for this country"

What has Clay Aiken done for the country? Did he secretly join the military and serve in Iraq? Has he developed a solution to all the problems that beset the country? Has he single-handedly taken care of the national debt? Since I've read nothing about what Clay Aiken has done for the country, I look forward to any links you could provide so that I can learn about whatever greatness he's accomplished for the country.

Greetings to all,

I couldn't let this day go by without saying: Clay is damned if he does and damned he doesn't in answering questions about his personal life. I am so dismayed about all this cr_p. Why is it that in many different areas and ages in life it seems okay for groups of people to take it upon themselves to pick on and devil one other particular person. I mean, those groups seem like frenzied animals devouring one helpless soul. That is those so called journalists (using the word loosely) taking advantage of unsuspecting celebrities, trying to get the interviewees between a rock and a hard place by asking unexpected and unethical questions -- to help make their own interviews controversial and thus a bit interesting, (consequently more or less living off said subjects). The PIGS !!!

My complaint here, is really affecting my health badly. I just don't get it, I don't understand this – this treatment of Clay Aiken. To whom it may concern, I seriously wonder if there are any laws against reporting lies and fabrications that cause undue stress on the subject and the public. Probably not, laws seem to protect the bad guys rather than the good guys, mainly because its the bad guys that need protected for their wrong doings.

Why can't everyone take Clay for what he is -- a sheltered, younger than his age Southern-gentleman who is multi-talented, who was raised by women, and therefore has much admiration and respect for women in general, and thus is not a womanizer. I just hope that the powers that be give your kind and you reporters (again using the word loosely) what you so justly deserve. I further wish for you NO decent nights sleep (as many as you have given Clay). I feel that justice will prevail in this matter and that "what goes around will come around". And, I only wish that I believed in "voodoo" -- for I promise that you deserve to be hopping around like a "Mexican jumping bean" from probes into a doll that looked exactly like you. What this nastiness has to be is you wanting Clay to look as badly confused as you are yourself, because YOU ARE THE GAY ONE - NOT CLAY !!! Gay in the fact that your behavior is ridiculous, clumsy, and not analyzed as well as it should be by a so called educated human -- oops, human is not a word that should be used when connected to you.

"Off with your head" would be an expression that should be used at the very thought of you and your kind, for there is nothing in those heads of any value to anyone but the devil himself !!!

I don't look for those in charge of this article to actually post this Comment, but it felt good getting it on paper and off my chest.

Clay represents everything wrong with Republicans? Liz, you are as uninformed as you are ignorant. Clay Aiken is a registered Democrat.

SKS - He IS gay, and he lied to you about the web cam photos.

Posted by: NJY at February 1, 2008 11:15 AM

Clay may be a registered Democrat, but he was raised in an ULTRA-conservative, very religious home, surrounded by bible-thumping buffoons.

It's not unusual for Southern-borns still to be registered Democrats, as that is what the south historically has been. Abe Lincoln was Republican don't forget, as was most of the "north."

Time has resulted in changes within each political party, and today's Democrats no doubt are causing southern forefathers to spin in their graves.

Clay may be "liberal" in some areas, but he's still very much entrenched in the conservative mindset in many other areas of his life.

Posted by: Curious Reader at February 1, 2008 11:19 AM

What gets me is these wenches get all hot and bothered because everyone else believes Mr Aiken to be gay. They call us 'hatahs'.... since when is having your gaydar go off when a guy enters a room being a 'hatah'? Since when is being gay a 'bad' thing? Yes, I know what the Bible says.... it also says to love your neighbor as yourself... it DOESN'T say "unless he's gay". Come down off the Cross ladies, martyrdom does not suit either you or him. He's a gay guy who can't or won't openly admit it. Who cares? He has made himself a laughing stock by his handling of the very questions that come to every celebrity out there. If he would meet the issue head on it would be big news for maybe a minute then not so much.... see Lance Bass & Richard Chamberlain. Life would go on.

Posted by: Prozac at February 1, 2008 12:43 PM

You people are ignorant, cruel, and pathetic. Why must you insist on discussing sexuality. It's not your business. Your "speculating" does not change the truth about Clay. The lies by Paulus were recanted. Clay is a democrat. (I happen to be a "stupid--according to you" republican, but I respect all opinions.) And since when does a close relationship with one's mom make the person gay? Get a life. Clay has virtue and class, but you know nothing of such things. I feel sorry for you.

WhatI find totally amazing is that none of you, defenders and detractors know Clay Aiken personally. None of you, including Michael Musto, have any real info or truth about him. I guess the days are long gone when celebritites actually had to do something to be demonized by the press. Now, whatever suits their agenda gets published as fact.

Honestly, I could care less if Clay Aiken is straight or gay. He is not telling and it is his right. He has talent. That I do know because I saw him in Spamalot last weekend and he was very funny. He fit right into an extremely talented cast.

Hey Musto, get a grip on reality and look beyond your tabloids for the truth. Be a real gossip queen and find the facts. There's plenty out there to report. Your hatchet job on Aiken is old and purely vile.

Posted by: rick at February 2, 2008 12:00 AM

I really don't have much to say about this article. I would like to know why though. Clay really is quite lucky to have so many "concerned" about his sexuality. It is really amazing to warrant that much attention, and Clay definitely gets attention. Myself, I focus on myself. To me, it really doesn't matter what is said or written about Clay, I will "use" my own judgement and form my opinions based on that. I always, right or wrong, make all final decisions. I just wish everyone else would follow suit.

Posted by: monica burns at February 2, 2008 4:08 AM

Greetings,

So, I am way overinvested in Clay Aiken and should consult a doctor. Well, thank you for your concern, but I must say y'all are the ones that make me sick !!!

At least I care for my fellow man enough that when someone like Clay is involved, it has an effect on me. Clay is a multi-talented, hard working, giving man, with a heart of gold, who has a God given gift - his angelic voice. I have heard that his fans say "I came for the voice, and stayed for the Man."

I can only say that I detest injustice, bullies, and diabolical people such as yourself in this regard. When I’m not enthusiasticly indignant about something as cruel as this near epic overused here say has been, is when I should start to worry.

“Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.”

Enough said ! God bless us all !!!

if you want "proof" he's helped this country, visit this website

http://www.bubelaiken.org

you might recognize those kids on that website as the kids you made fun of in your adolescent years, or wait, even possibly here recently. You may think it's not "helping this country," but think again, read the information on that page before you go running your mouth AGAIN about things you know nothing about. You're the most ignorant piece of cr_p I've even seen in my life. Before you go running your mouth again about stuff you know ohhh soooo much about try getting your facts straight first. He may not have "single-handedly taken care of the national debt," but he has done more for this country and the people in it than you've probably even thought about doing. He's a caring human being who isn't a woman-izer but rather respects women, and I think every woman out there would rather have someone that respects them than someone like you who only sees them as a piece of @$$. Don't let your own insecurities reign over your writing, please, it's rather disgusting.

Posted by: sdr at February 2, 2008 1:19 PM

"he'd have to have a bag over his head to get laid."
^you'll let that in this website but not my comment about how i'd do him faster than brad pitt, grady sizemore, or any other "hott" celebrity out there? that I think Clay Aiken is extremely sexy and his voice, personality, and respect for women is even more of a turn on?
We all knew this article and quote-unquote "writer" were bias, but this draws the line. I wonder how many other Clay-defending comments you've decided to deny. Probably hundreds seeing as how Claymates everywhere have Clay Aiken on google-search alert and would have came to his rescue in a heartbeat. No, rather, you let discriminating, dimoralizing, disgusting comments pour on to this thread only to "prove" your point. Wow, thanks, now I truly know how ignorant you really are. You're a waste of time.

Prozac (I can see your user name says it all), You say come down from our crosses. I have news for you. I am a muslim. Another piece of info you all failed to discover is Clay has fans of many religions, age ranges, and nationalities. His fans are decent people. Only morans, such as your self and Musto, would think such bad things about a descent human being. Clay is totally hot, with amazing talent, and a heart of gold. You all are just jealous that Clay has a ton of ladies wrapped around his hot, sweet finger. To all you Clay haters - Don't hate him because he is better than you.

Posted by: Clayfan at February 2, 2008 9:41 PM

While he may choose not to come out at this time. Clay Aiken likes men. That is a fact. Keep in mind however that he is busy day and night working on Spamalot and other projects. To top it off finding a decent gay guy in NYC is hard, especially one that is willing to be discrete. I am sure all he does on his time off is sleep. So I dont expect this sexuality to be on the top of his priorities.

When he is ready and he will be someday when he meets the right guy, he will come out and state that he preffers men.

The gay community does not need one more celebrity representing what is now normal to most.

Sorry to disappoint all those women wishing he was straight. Hey I wished he was straight as well, the man is intelligent and attractive. But alas, he will definitely make a nice gay guy extremely happy some day.

Posted by: getitright at February 3, 2008 1:38 AM

SKS - You've got some stuff right about Clay, but you've got to reign yourself in and try to be a more "normal" fan. You are fighting a fight about things Clay has never denied and you only make the internet climate worse for him.

Go back and listen to "Lover All Alone." He tells you that his life has changed....the picture he tried so hard to find isn't his and he once thought he was in love, but he was wrong. He's had a lot that he has had to deal with in a VERY public way. He's in a very difficult spot trying to talk to the media about stuff that he can't even discuss openly with his family. If you (and the Claymates) really care....you will stay OUT of this. AND I would think that the gay community would be a little more sensitive too. You know what you are seeing here.

And I am NOT a hater!

Posted by: NY at February 3, 2008 2:41 PM

ohh..contraire my friend... google-search it, yahoo-search it.. find anyway of finding the website(s) that have John Paulus recanting his alleged meeting with Clay and his apoligizies he's given time and time again, begging Clay Aiken to forgive him of his lavish lies. If I were Clay Aiken, I would never forgive the @$$ for such lies. And I'd also find a way of sueing the media and ridiculous, scandalous, rather pathetic "reporters" such as Musto for writing such awful lies. It's really appauling you have to get your "kicks" from gay-bashing a rather humble, modest, loving human being as Clay Aiken, especially seeing as how you're the only gay one! Pick something true to bash about, maybe like Jamie-Lynn Spears and her more-than-early pregancy, or the continuous hosptialization of Britney Spears. Or how about how big of a f-ing nutcase Tom Cruise is. You know, things that are trueeeee..
you're pathetic

iloveclay, there's a good reason why Clay isn't sueing anyone especially John Paulus. BTW How weird of you to suggest that anyone at all should be picked on. Clay was a make-up wearing hair color junkie, Golden Girls and chick flick watching know it all in college. Not much different than the guy you see today. Either you like him or you don't and I don't think anyone is going to change anyone else's mind on that. So chill (because I said so).

Yeah, I'm talking about that creepy Paulus character. Do you "journalists" even bother to check facts anymore? Do you realize that moron has based the last 2 yrs of his life on his fantasy of a one-night stand with Aiken?? That he daily searches the web for Clay news & posts constantly on every website where Aiken is mentioned? That he even shows up at Aiken's concerts & is a great concern to the Security Team?? If he physically attacks Clay someday will you acknowledge your part in provoking, aiding & abetting him??????

Posted by: jonjon at February 28, 2008 11:34 AM

jonjon - you're wrong. Do you actually think that the most wonderful Clay Aiken would allow an obsessed stalker psycho freak to sit amongst his youngster and oldster Claymates at a concert? Paulus waltzed in to ONE local show without being bothered in any way by security. I've seen Kenny Chesney fans put through much worse. So stop worrying about Paulus, obviously Clay isn't worried about him. He knows the true story.

Posted by: tada at February 29, 2008 1:03 AM

It is amazing to me how "selective" you were in writing about "things we (supposedly) learn" in that article. What about the other positive things about Clay in that article?

It is obvious that neither you nor the writer of the other article are Clay fans (It is easy to tell - in your case by blatant sarcasim and rude comments about Clay, and in the case of the other writer by the choice of all the obscure/most unflattering pictures of Clay - when there are thousands out there where he is looking gorgeous that could have been selected in their place, not to mention the underhanded compliments, twist on words, and attempts to mislead the reader by mixing a few positive/undeniable facts about Clay in with all the other unsubstatiated opinions/garbage disguised as truth).

What I did pull from that same article hidden within all the other nasty OPINIONS are the following things that even the writer had to admit, which are actually TRUE about Clay (why didn't you mention any of them? wonder why?) In order of appearance in article: (my own comments directly below each item)

1. Clay was appointed Ambassador for Unicef in 2004.

(Clay has raised AT LEAST 100's of thousands of dollars for UNICEF, not to mention other charities, over the years, and just this past year, spent his Christmas helping out children and families in Mexico. He has brought awareness to millions of people/fans throughout the world and has traveled to multiple poor/devastated areas to provide assistance since his appointment.)

2. Clay wrote best-selling 2004 memoir, Learning to Sing. The book is an account of his childhood as an “insult magnet”. In Learning to Sing, Aiken writes, “I want to use my voice to inspire good in others. I never want to produce anything that a family could not enjoy together."

(This book is so uplifting and touching to both the bully and bullied alike. It helps the reader understand how to grow through adversity and how to believe in yourself and care for others no matter how difficult it may be sometimes. It tells of Clay's first loves - YES, ALL FEMALE and provides touching, honest renditions of things that most of us have lived through - the good and the bad things, the mistakes and the consequences of growing up. Definitely a must read - if you honestly/openly had read it, maybe you wouldn't be so harsh on Clay, and would realize the decent, although not perfect, beautiful person that he is.)

3. Aiken was the first artist in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 to debut at No. 1 with his first single. His album sold 613,000 copies in a week, more than any debut solo artist’s had in a decade. Aiken has now sold over 6 million copies of his three albums.

(Regardless of how so many naysayers want to dismiss Clay, he still remains the most popular AI alum, despite negative publicity such as your article or lack of it completely. God had his reasons why he put Clay on this path, and even though there will always be those that try to hurt Clay, there are far more people out there that love him, and are becoming better people because of him and his example to help others, and to always keep your chin up and not worry about what the few may say about you. God knows the truth and that is what matters. Clay's newest album is in the works which will be all NEW material, handpicked by Clay - yeah!!!, and is planned for release May 2008 or shortly thereafter. It should have the best sales of all - watch out for it!)

4. Aiken is religious himself and attended Southern Baptist church as a child. “But I’m in New York now. If I can find a church and sneak in, it’s definitely a goal of mine. I definitely want to get back to it".

(Like I mentioned before, and Clay himself has said, he is not perfect, but he believes in God and always keeps his faith at the forefront of everything he does. It is very difficult for a "celebrity" to just walk into a church without "fanfare", but as he said, it is a goal of his. In the meantime, he is "walking the walk" which is much more than the average person does that actually makes time to go to church. I personally believe it is important to go to church, but it is MORE important to actually LIVE what you believe in than make phoney gestures, Clay has never disappointed in that way.)

5. He’s actually well-informed, really into the elections and quite the impressive little charity worker. Before Idol, Aiken was a special-ed teacher and, frustrated by the failure of his beloved YMCA to take special-needs cases in its summer camps, he has since started his own foundation for disabled youth.

(So much for trying to convince us that Clay is a "County Hick" without a brain. Clay is extremely educated and well spoken. Aside from UNICEF and the Bubel Aiken Foundation, he has helped countless other charities - search for him to find out, as I don't have the time or space to list them all. Clay definitely has a HUGE heart and his compassion and ACTION to help others is one of the reasons he is so adored and protected by his fans!)

6. He has been in People magazine as one of its Sexiest Men Alive. So many women threw their underpants onstage during his first tour that on the following two Aiken tours, he had commemorative panties for sale at the concession stand.

(Although this is a silly, but factual comment, it goes to show that no matter how hard you or anyone else tries to portray in a negative light, Clay is still undeniably ATTRACTIVE, SEXY, GORGEOUS, and APPEALING to millions without even trying to be. He is just himself, and whether or not his makeup artists or hair stylists try to fix him up, it doesn't matter, with or without glasses or a fancy suit, Clay is ADORABLE and REAL. His smile is BEAUTIFUL and BREATHTAKINGLY magical. Clay truly cares about and appreciates others and it shines through the sparkle in his eyes whenever he speaks or just looks at you. Anyone that says otherwise is either blind (which I actually believe even a blind person would sense the sincerity in Clay's voice or touch), in denial, or just plain jealous that Clay can be himself and still have so many fans. And, I may as well add that People magazine was only one of many similar places Clay was given that title.)

7. He imagines his social life here will be “nonexistent, really. I’m not a nighttime person.” He does not plan on dating, and he is not involved with anyone. “I just don’t have an interest in … any of that at all. I have got too much on my plate,” he says. “I’d rather focus on one thing and do that when I can devote time to it, and right now, I just don’t have any desire.”

(For those of you who have decided to "conveniently not remember", Clay has answered that ridiculous question about being gay on several occasions, and is just now fed up with it, which anyone would be if they kept being asked over and over again, knowing that "people are going to believe whatever they want regardless". I wish more guys were like Clay. He is respectful of women, actually of all people. He would never sleep around, although it would probably be very easy to do if he was that type of person. He has described his ideal GIRL in an interview (I believe Canada's YTV, but not positive) as being someone loving, strong, and independent like his mom. He has not completely avoided "going out", he has had dinner and lunch with Tyra Banks and probably other "low key dates", but since he has been super busy since he was introduced to the public eye in 2003 - true fans know this, Clay knows it wouldn't be fair to have someone waiting around for him while his career is in full swing. That being said, when and if Clay decides to date "on the record" at some later time, I hope it will not be construed as "forced" - it seems no matter what he does, is not good enough for "you people", which is probably another reason why he has decided not to do it right now. And another note - that "hookup with John Paulus" was just as you said - "much tabloided" - Pure FICTION - if Clay was such a "closeted gay" as you seem to believe, do you really think he would have gone "trolling online" as himself and posted pictures of himself? Give me a break... better yet, give me a couple of pictures of yourself, and I'll show you how easy it is to Photoshop YOU or anyone else into compromising positions, plus I'd do a much better job of it. That whole madeup story is a joke, and I feel sorry for anyone that believes it, but I feel more sorry for Clay that has to put up with that nonsense!)

8. I am convinced this city is going to crack Clay Aiken like an egg. Then I see him on Broadway. I had forgotten: Between Eighth Avenue and Broadway, there’s a little patch of regular America, right in the center of Manhattan. Regular America LOVES Clay Aiken EXACTLY the way he is. In a Broadway musical, Aiken is PERFECT—he can throw that octave-spanning man-voice of his around all he wants and hit ALL those honky gospel notes. IT SOUNDS GREAT! He can slowly, slowly raise his arms in the air as he holds a note for 45 minutes. He can make his corny, cartoony facial expressions, and onstage, they’re UTTERLY APPROPRIATE.

(Anyone who has followed Clay's career would know how talented and unbreakable he is. He has natural charm, wit, comic timing, and charisma - it is about time someone acknowledged it other than his fans.)

Well there you have it. Why is your report so negative when there were plenty of positives you could have mentioned, as I did above? I really don't need to ask, but maybe you should ask yourself. In trying to put down Clay, you are only making yourself look bad.

Clay is, was, and always will be a "hero/real American Idol" to so many people, because he is true to himself, and no matter how many nasty people are out there trying to give him a bad name, there are more of us out there whose lives Clay continues to bless, just by his existence.
