Naomi Campbell Hearts Kate Moss For Real

Posted by Michael Musto at 3:00 PM, July 16, 2008

Wait, stop everything! This quaking news comes from imdb.com: "Naomi Campbell is full of praise for Kate Moss, promising to be there for her 'best friend' whenever she has any problems."

That item practically moved me to tears! A profundly compassionate friendship like this is the kind of thing I've always aspired to (in addition to the Kathleen Turner boxed set). I can only imagine the heart-tugging cross-continental conversations that happen all day between these two intimately connected mannequins:

"Hey, lovey. It's Katie. Any idea where I can get me some drugs?"

"Hmm. Where are you, bitch?"

"I don't know, darling. But I need me some pharmaceuticals pronto."

"Please! I have my own culinary needs. (poignant pause) I wish I was there with you, Kate."

"Me too, baby."

"So I could slam you over the head with this cell phone!"

"Oh, yeah! That would be loverly!"

"Anyway, Kate..."

"(waking up in a panic) "Yeah? What? Huh? Where am I? What you want, lovey?"

"Any idea where I can get me some drugs?"

I'd rather have Kate for a friend than Noami any time. Kate has some fleeting glimspes of vulnerability and sweetness. Naomi is all me-me-me and all angry all the time.

Yeah, but in a dodgy situation it's good to have Naomi with a PDA having your back.

Two scary bitches! Even scarier than Lindsay and Samantha!

Nice photo, but why oy! why is Linda Evangelista not on more Vogue covers? I know she had that ill-fated return to Fashion Corners just a few weeks before The Towers came down, but has nobody seen her new Prada campaign?! OH, Child, she looks better than ever! They needs to be giving this girl her due. She is THE GREATEST MODEL EVAH! Please! Remember that George Michael video? That last shot of her, when she cocks her head back? Is that not the most amazing fashion moment of the whole Supermodel era? Ooooh, I thought so...

Why isn't the fantastic Linda Evangelista on more Vogue covers? Consider that her career has lasted about 2 decades, she may have had her share of Vogue covers already. Besides, in her early 40s, Evangelista hardly qualifies as a "girl" any longer. Fashion is about who and what's new and fresh .. if not Cheryl Tiegs and Lauren Hutton would still be hogging the Vogue covers.
