Hints That Billy Elliot is a Poufter

Billyelliot-logo.jpg*He keeps saying "I'm not a poufter!"

*Takes a pass on the offer to see a girl's "hoo-hoo" (Been there.)

*Dances a romantic duet with a hot man (supposedly himself as an adult, but still, it reads as an intergenerational pas de deux)

*And finally....SPOILER ALERT!!!! Kisses his drag queen best friend goodbye before leaving town. In fact, it's the last thing he does!

Oh, yeah, did I mention his best friend is a pint-sized, sexually aggressive cross dresser? Case closed!

And so is Gordon Ramsey! Kitchen Nightmares has got to be the gayest show on television. With his tasseled dyed hair, his fey gestures and "o,my, Mary," asides to his imaginary alter ego, he's six degrees of separation from looking and acting like a butch nellie queen.

Did anyone also mention that it's directed by Stephen Daldry? No, wait, he's married., Scratch that!

Nawwwwwww!

Billy's just sensitive, like my older brother, who took 15 years of tap and ballet, never married and now runs an antiques/floral shop in Santa Barbara with his friend Felix Navidad.

And they're both as butch as Tom Cruise!

That's right! The movie is about tolerance and breaking stereotypes...not all boys that like to dance are gay. Billy is obviously not. He likes Debbie. But he's sensitive enough to accept Michael as he is and still be friends with him afterwards (they remain good friends and Michael comes to see Billy performed when they're grown up). But Elton John had to get all political about it and reinforce the stereotype...exactly the wrong message.
