From what I've read George has taken responsibility for his actions. He's a wonderful talent and a true artist. I hope the best for him.

We can at least give BG some credit for the moniker "Whorewegian," a word that some press wag creatively invented to describe his accuser.

I love Boy George for the trainwreck he is. I even loved Taboo.

The false kidnapping charges that George is in prison for happened in April 2007. Since that time he's quit drugs and alcohol and has checked into Narcotics Anonymous. Staying off substances isn't easy; he will always be an addict. He knew that the trial would result in a probable prison sentence and he seems to be coping. His family and fans surround him. Yes, his celebrity status will probably have something to do with an early release, if that happens. But it won't mean he'll be all the happier for it. In or out of prison, Boy George has a long road ahead of him as he takes one day at a time in his quest to remain sober. I'm willing to give him another chance. He remains a unique voice with much to say.
