Homoerotic Cannon Towel Ad!

Categories: ???, naked

Back during WWII, Cannon towel use was apparently comparable to that in a porn film. Check out this amazing ad about how the military boys in the South Pacific had been shipped towels to wipe off with, and see if you wouldn't have minded a petite grab of their Cannons.

Only in the South Pacific.

The 'shrinkage' factor did not apply and everyone's an exhibitionist.

WORDSMITH says:

@steve

There was a North American saying after the war:

"How are you going to keep Johnny back on the farm now that he's seen gay Paris."

Keep in mind this was before the appropriation of the word 'gay'.

The word gay is derived from the Old French word "gai," meaning high spirited or merry. It became part of the English lexicon sometime after the Norman invasion and changed little in meaning over the next 900 years. Its conventional usage seemed to peak in the late the 19th century. The term was associated with flamboyance and style, hence "Don we now our gay apparel" (from the song "Deck the Halls"), "gay nineties" and "gay Paris."
