Stores are places one continually goes to in order to shop for...a husband. But which are the best ones to cruise at without it being so obvious that your basket is empty, as it were.

Well, according to this survey, Target and Whole Foods are high atop the list, but the number one gay pickup store in the world is...PetSmart! And not because the guys are there to buy a new gerbil!

F. Packer says:

"..low income housewives with babies"??

What a shitty, stupid, probably racist statement to make about random people around you who are just trying to live their lives.

Those people he's slandering are at Wal-Mart to buy bath towels, not to forage for fisting partners.

F. Packer says:

Sorry, the chain in question was K-Mart, not Wal-Mart.

I'll bet $1000. that this little shit isn't from New York City.

CMG says:

Target is a cleaner version of WalMart which is like an illness. Anybody who's been there with just getting one or two things in mind leaves with about six things or higher, finding a date would be just a bonus.

Home Depot makes me think of the Bears.

Color me surprised no major gym chain was included. Every gym I have gone to is gay friendly.

A gym isn't technically a store.

Or is it?

Pier 1? Was this survey taken in 1987? Whole Foods and Wegmans are two places where I don't even make eye contact with anyone because they're so cruisey.

CMG says:

lol loins

Well technically you can buy stuff and buy time with a personal trainer. Yeah but not a store.

K. says:

Is it just me? I don't wanna pick up a date in frikkin' stores. Much less someone who works there. I just find it uncomfortable and awkward. Please, tell me I'm not alone.

K...for most people, they don't go with that foremost in their minds...it kinda a happy accident or a wish you make come true.

nostradavid says:

I prefer the phrase "low rent" to "low income",
you don't have to be poor to be low rent.
I always try to avoid housewifes with babies, anyway,
regardless of income level or social class.

Before there was a Walmart -
Sunday afternoon at K-Mart was the scariest thing to imagine.
If those hordes tried to assimilate you,
resistance would be futile.

CMG says:

No nothing is scarier than Friday nights at WalMart. Nothing. It is like Dawn of The Dead.

Posted On: Saturday, Sep. 26 2009 @ 12:19AM
JAL says:

The thing is though, no matter how 'gay friendly' a store is, the majority of gay men will always sneer at each other and go on about how he is so much better than all the other gay guys out there. Add that to the mountain of gay men who can't even get off with another gay guy (look at the traffic on the 'straight guys doin' it!' websites and you'll see what I mean...) come on - the last thing we want is to go after another gay guy. We want the best of the best and that usually ain't another puff princess.
