I've spent so much energy all these years railing at celebrities who cower in the closet that it's important I take a step back once in a while and throw some bouquets at the ones who actually opened the door and did us proud.

So thank you, out celebs!

Bless you, Neil Patrick Harris. You are a shining beacon, a total cutie, and the host of absolutely everything.

Kudos to you, Rosie O'Donnell, Ellen DeGeneres, and Portia de Rossi. You've make it great to be butch and/or butch-positive.

Cheers, Nathan Lane, clink clink Rupert and Sir Ian, God bless you Cherry Jones, and hats off to T.R. Knight and Cheyenne Jackson. You have all bestowed honor on our industry with your honesty and talent (which are not un-connected, by the way).

Everyone else--fuck off and get explosive diarrhea!

This is nice and cathartic, absolutely delightful. And now that you've cleansed your palette, go back to railing at the fucking closet cases.

Speaking of explosive diarrhea, did you know 90% of the time, it's food poisoning?

And all this time, I thought I was just special.

Sincerely,
Cookie Cutter

CMG says:

Thank you, Bradley Cooper, for stripping your beard, having an affair with your co-star on Alias (Victor!), and then becoming a tanned out man-slut on film not to mention being beards for spinster A-listers with movies coming out. Come out, BC, come out! I want more Wet Hot American Summer moments.

Rule of Thumb says:

@Cookie Cutter

Too much information, BUT thanks for sharing CC.

Just when I thought I had read the last of your 'penile' discharges, now we have your musing on 'anal' eruptions.

Can't wait to read about your binge and 'purging' habits.

Sincerely,
ROT

You also forgot Scott Evans, Chris Evans' adorable younger (and openly gay) brother who plays gay cop Oliver Fish on One Life to Live.

Lisa says:

You forgot John Barrowman, West End leading man, star of Torchwood, and an all-around entertainer appearing on many shows on the BBC over the last few years. He's also civil-partnered to his long-time love, Scott Gill, and has just published his second autobiographical book this month that discusses (among other things) his relationship with Scott. Can't get more open than that.

At the rate this is going, it's the breeder celebs who'll be in the minority. Some of whom will retreat into a new kind of closet by claiming to be queer. Life can be beautiful innit?
