I made a fool of myself at last year's Glammy Awards for downtown club culture, when I lost Best Writer/Blogger to Lady Bunny and grabbed the mic to say, "This is an outrage! This is like when Pia Zadora beat Meryl Streep for the Golden Globe!"

I promise to behave this year. I'll even generously supply the nominees for that category--and several others--right here, so you can carefully ponder the choices while waiting to stuff the ballot box in my favor for the December event.

And by the way, I know Pia Zadora didn't really beat Meryl for the Globe. That's become a familiar gag. But she DID beat Glenn Close. True story
