Renee Zellweger's Extreme Sour Lemon Candy
Suck on this, people.
I like Renee Zellweger for her squinty spunk and charming gameness, which she's brought to musicals, westerns, and rom-coms alike.![]()
But you'd have to squint to see her career lately.

I love reading our weekly newspaper competitors and poring over them in search of errors. And bingo, I found one, a real whopper of massive triviality! God help me if this isn't my Waterloo--I mean my Watergate!
Bridget Jones's Diary may be turned into a stage musical, possibly with a score by Elton John, according to the New York Post's Michael Riedel.
So assuming this happens, who should play Bridget this time around? Remember all the media fuss about how the screen Bridget, Renee Zellweger, wasn't actually British? That turned out to be a pile of digested Shepherd's pie since Renee happens to be an actress and a very good one at that--she managed to be believable and downright adorable in the role. In fact, she got a bloody Oscar nomination for it!
But for the stage, I feel it should be Kristin Chenoweth, who's the go-to lady for cute and winning--and she has a following too.
Can you think of anyone else who can act, sing, dance, do an accent, sell tickets, and might be willing to gain a few pounds for her craft?
