H&M Continues NYC Takeover

Posted by Nina Lalli at 6:08 PM, April 13, 2007

At 43rd Street and Fifth Avenue -- just eight blocks from the flagship store -- H&M is gearing up for another shiny shop. The giant stubble-face ad says they're looking for employees, and also: "UPTOWN. MIDTOWN. DOWNTOWN. From 18th St. to 51st St. we will have 5th Ave. covered."

H&M stores are really kool, their clothes are all the rage. Half of my closet is H&M. I remember reading in the papers all of the hype that their stores were coming to New York, and I couldn't understand what the big fuss was all about. Now I understand, it's that european look for cheap. But now I've discovered why spend all of my money of their sometimes expensive clothes when I can find the same H&M brands in my nearest thrift store at a fraction of the cost.

I work just 2 blocks down the street, that sign as been up there for the last year!!! Are they really going to open up a store on that corner? Hello I could really use one on that corner!

They Must be stopped.
H&M was cool with me up until I started a new job and my boss was wearin the same H&M outfit and as he was introducing me around I looked like his Mini Me! Then my second week we wore the same H&M leather jacket! No more H&M for me.
