Our Man Sietsema Leaves a Message
Do you ever wish Our Man Sietsema would call your cell phone and leave you hilarious messages? Well, it happens to us occasionally, and we'll share with you. A little after noon today, Sietsema called to report that the U.S. Marines (we think) were doing some recruiting at the Farmer's Market:
"Hey Nina, it's your man on the street. I'm at the Union Square Farmer's Market, where I'm buying bales of over-ripe tomatoes to make sauce with, for only a dollar a pound.
"Anyway, there seems to be some kind of recruiting stunt going on here, which is being filmed by several video cameras, so maybe it's going to be on the news. Am I wrong in thinking it's inconsistent with the general purview of the farmer's market to use it as a recruiting site?
"Man, they must have been organic marines or something. Anyway, from Union Square to Iraq... and, maybe back again in a box. Anyway, have fun. Bye!"
