Ball Fields Under Fire!

Posted by Nina Lalli at 9:46 AM, June 5, 2007

OK, people. It's time to join together and fight the man. Grub Street has the story this morning that the Parks Department has given the Red Hook Ball Fields vendors notice that September 8 will be their last day. As someone who, just this past weekend, was drinking melon juice and freaking out about how delicious my quesadilla was, I urge you all to let Adrian Benepe know what a tragedy this move would be.

This is tragic news and is quickly becoming the norm, unfortunately.
Second Avenue deli,
Astroland,Marion's,CBGB's,Katz's Deli etc etc R.I.P.
NYC will be a vapid, souless lot of luxury high-rise condos! For what? After the culture is sucked dry why live here?
We must put an end to the pillaging of NYC!
