Fork in the Road at Joanne Hendricks' Cookbooks

This week, my column is about a day spent with Joanne Hendricks, at her cookbook shop on the far western edge of Soho. I love this shop, and think it's the most interesting place in the city to browse antique cookbooks and cookwares. It seems like a throwback to a time when Manhattan wasn't filled with the same shops as you find in a suburban mall, when a place of business could afford to be a little eccentric.

You've got to trek over the Greenwich Street, but please go check it out. Even if you don't find anything to buy, it's really an amazing collection to poke through.
