Is foot-in-mouth vegan?

Vegans should not be allowed to talk: Chrissie Hynde, of the Pretenders is a vegan. She owns some vegan restaurants, and she'd like to open another one in the Freedom Tower, when it's finally built. Here's how she put it: "There’s been so much horrific blood and guts and violence there that it’d be fitting to open a cool restaurant where no mangled, burnt bodies are on the menu.” Nice. Free Food: From October 31st through November 2nd, the church yard at St. Mark's on the Bowery will host Day of the Dead festivities, including workshops on how to make sugar skulls and Day of the Dead bread. All events are free, but there will be tamales, mole chicken, churros and more available for sale, all to benefit Esperanza del Barrio, a community organization of Latino food vendors. [FitR Inbox]
