Beer For Breakfast

If you need an excuse to drink beer for breakfast, help is here. This new porter from Heartland Brewery combines ale with an earthy, dark Columbian coffee from Oren's Daily Roast to create a beer that has two of our favorite things: alcohol and caffeine. (Although the beer has 1/8th the caffeine of coffee, so you'll just have to drink more.)

Oren's Daily Porter is rich and smooth, edged with bitterness, and really tastes predominately of good, strong coffee. It would be awesome as a beer float, with a scoop of mocha ice cream. For breakfast.

You can get it at any Heartland Brewery location throughout the holiday season. Plus, one dollar from each pint goes towards International Rescue Committee's efforts to provide clean drinking water in Ethiopia.
