Ethiopian Coming to Fort Greene

Brooklyn's Fort Greene will soon be getting an Ethiopian restaurant of its very own. Bati (747 Fulton Street, Brooklyn) is aiming for a soft opening this weekend. Co-owner Hibist Legesse says they'll be open just for dinner at first but then add lunch in the coming weeks.

The menu will feature traditional Ethiopian fare but with more vegetarian options than usual. Legesse, who grew up in Ethiopia and moved to New York after high school, says she's "very very excited, we've always wanted to open in Brooklyn..I used to go to BAM, so I've always liked the neighborhood."
