General Greene Now Open on Mondays

Ft. Greene favorite General Greene (229 DeKalb Avenue) is now open on Mondays for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The neighborhood restaurant started a casual counter service for  breakfast and lunch during the week last November, and they've recently fine tuned the menu for those times. They've also got free Wi-Fi and Counter Culture coffee, making it one of the better options in the area for laptopping the day away (speaking from experience). Breakfast
-Egg & Gruyere sandwich with whole grain mustard aioli served on a 7-grain toast
-Roasted Portobello & Egg sandwich with goat cheese and tomato jam
-Sticky Buns and Banana Bread

Lunch
-Roasted Pork Sandwich with ham, pulled pork, house-made
pickles, spicy aioli and gruyere
-Smoked Trout Melt with red onion, hard boiled egg and gruyere
-Chicken Salad Sandwich with Avocado, Arugula, dates & herb

-Steak Sandwich with avocado, cheddar, red onions, sprouts and
horseradish crème fraiche
