Shacking Up For Spring

Persians celebrate the birth of spring with a table of fruits and grains. We like to do it with a visit to the Shake Shack.

The new uptown location is not actually in Central Park so we got our burger, shake and crinkly fries to go, and footed it past the American Museum of Natural History to find a nice spot in the park, sucking down thick vanilla custard along the way. The compact cheeseburger, easy to palm and negotiate with one hand, was as satisfying as the ones back in Madison Square Park and, although the fries had cooled considerably during the brisk walk, they certainly did the trick. The trio: $12.25, with tax. Time lapsed between order and consumption, including the walk from the Shack to the park: roughly 23 minutes.
