This Week in Restaurant Reviews

This week in the Village Voice, Sarah DiGregorio visits Mumbai Xpress and New Kerala Kitchen, while Robert Sietsema goes to La Superior. Here's what critics elsewhere are reviewing this week:

Steve Cuozzo reviews Corton, and deems his recent visits to the restaurant "among the most enjoyable dining experiences I've had in a year."
[NY Daily News]

Frank Bruni gives L'Artusi one star and says "the uneven results are a lesson in overextension."
[NY Times]

Restaurant Girl gives La Fonda Del Sol four stars, calling it an "odd oasis in a midtown desert. People love it for what is: a convenient stop on your way to the train or a great escape after work."
[NY Daily News]

Ryan Sutton reviews Michael Psilakis' Kefi and Anthos. He calls the former a "giant Greek version of the Cheesecake Factory" and says that while far more expensive, "Anthos is the better value."
[Bloomberg]

Adam Platt has one star for Fishtail by David Burke and no stars for the new Oak Room where he says "the stagy, oppressive atmosphere...is not greatly relieved by the quality of the food."
[NY mag]

Jay Cheshes awards Shang three stars out of six, writing that chef Susur Lee "is clearly a bit of a mad genius forging his own distinct path. His creations at Shang are certainly thought-provoking. If only they were equally exciting to eat."
[TONY]

Alan Richman reviews Mario Batali's Tarry Lodge in Port Chester and declares it "one of the most interesting pizzerias in New York."
