Vegetable Gardens on 60 Minutes

Last week, Alice Waters was on 60 Minutes talking about the local/organic food movement and urging President Obama to plant a garden on the White House grounds. This week, President Obama took his turn on the show, and told correspondant Steve Kroft all about the vegetable garden on which Michelle Obama has recently broken ground.

Meanwhile, the Saturday New York Times ran an article positing that the local/organic "food revolution" is finally about to have its big, mainstream moment. If 60 Minutes' interest in vegetable gardens is any indication, they may be right.
