Punch is all the rage these days. Cocktail dens like Clover Club and Death & Co. are serving drinks family-style--and not just in any old bowls, but in pretty antique vessels that would make any grandmother proud to dip her ladle in them.

At a rather impromptu gathering of the city's drinkerati at Bobo last night, bartender Naren Young showcased his new bowls of punch, including this fruity and flowery number called the New London. Incorporating the recently launched Beefeater 24, St-Germain, Maraschino liqueur, green tea, and prosecco, it packs quite a sneaky, er, punch.

"We've got three rotating punch bowls on the menu," says Young. "They're all light and refreshing. They're strong, but they don't taste it."

No kidding. The New London is 9 oz of spirit plus prosecco, but sips as easy as lemonade. Each punch bowl boasts a fruit-filled ice block centerpiece. At $48 a pop, they're ideal for parties of four or five, and best enjoyed on the patio out back.
