The new documentary Bananas! reveals that Dole Food may have been aware that a pesticide used to farm its bananas in Nicaragua back in the 1970s could cause infertility among workers exposed to it regularly.
Dole has already managed to get two cases involving the Nicaraguan workers thrown out of court because of lawyer misconduct, and have threatened to sue the documentary's producers for defamation.
