The Blogroll Gazette--Top Chef Masters Reactions & Food Inc. Reviews Abound

This week in food blogs...

The Feedbag
and Eat Me Daily weighed in on the discussion presented at "Gender Confusion: Unraveling the Myths of Gender in the Restaurant Kitchen," a panel discussion held at the Astor Center this week. Ed Levine of Serious Eats sat on the panel. Conclusion? Not really because the chefs "cooked in drag."

Eat Me Daily rounded up reviews of Food Inc., which range from unimpressed (from the Post: "The movie offers very little that food radicals don't already know.") to gushing (from NY: "The sheer scale of the movie is mind-blowing... the documentary equivalent of The Matrix.")

Grub Street and The Feed each had mixed feelings about the premiere episode of Top Chef Masters. So did we.

Eater noted that food bloggers are now posting their reviews in cartoon form, which is cute... for now.

Chowhound enjoyed The Daily Show's bit about Morning Joe's sponsorship deal with Starbucks.

Midtown Lunch followed the saga involving the new Sweets Truck, which culminated in Pret a Manger calling the cops.
