Coke & Pepsi Tweeting Pals

The cola wars took an interesting turn last week when Coke and Pepsi became friends (or, rather, followers of each other) on Twitter. The friendly Tweeting between the two giants came as a result of Aussie web company Amnesia Razorfish's experiment to try to get them to connect. Coke initiated the connection with "A gracious (but competitive) hello" and Pepsi responded. Their tweeting personas made the two corporations seem eerily human. But the tweets were probably formulated in a conference room following meetings and focus groups conducted by a team of media professionals and their paid interns.
