Malcolm X Farmers Market Headed for Imminent Closure?

Brownstoner brings sad news, via the Bed-Stuy Blog, that Bed-Stuy's Malcolm X farmers market is in danger of closing. The market's main vendor, Migliorelli Farm, recently announced it will be pulling out of the market because it hasn't been earning enough there to pay for its gas and labor costs. The market, which has only been open for three weeks, just hasn't gotten enough business. Bed-Stuy Blog is urging neighborhood residents to visit the market this Saturday to disprove those who say "that we cannot maintan and sustain a farmer's market in this community."
