In the wake of recent changes to the 500-foot rule that the SLA used to determine liquor license approval, Down by the Hipster has provided a primer on how to get a liquor license. Among the tips it offers:
"There are little nooks and corners of the city that will still welcome your business, and we suggest you try to find them. Always remember, scenesters travel."
"Do not roll into a CB meeting without having briefed the committee chair, thinking that they will be impressed because you once had a table next to Jay Z. They don't care and you will get rejected."
