Starbucks Bomber out on Bail

Categories: Featured
The AP reports that Kyle Shaw, the 17-year-old arrested and charged with arson, criminal possession of a weapon, and criminal mischief in the Memorial Day weekend bombing of an Upper East Side Starbucks, has been released on $300,000 bail. The recent high school grad and Fight Club fanatic detonated the homemade bomb in the early morning hours outside of a Starbucks on East 92nd Street, shattering its windows but injuring no one. Shaw, who will wear an ankle monitor while out on bail, pleaded not guilty to the crime; if convicted, he faces up to 25 years in prison.
