Martha Stewart Hit by Blight Too

The severe blight plaguing tomato growers across the Northeast may be our own fault, but that doesn't make it any less terrible. And it hasn't just affected commercial farmers. Even gardening maven Martha Stewart has had to deal with the effects of a too-rainy season. Quoth Stewart on her blog:

"There's been a lot in the news lately about the tomato and potato crop in the northeastern part of the United States... Backyard growers are suffering as well. I, myself, have lost seventy percent of the fifty different varieties in my garden. Even though I still have tomatoes on the vine, many of the beautiful heirloom varieties, which were planted, never had a chance."
Not a good thing.
