Michelle Obama Takes 'Tomato Rhapsody' On Vacation
The First Lady is reportedly indulging in a little light reading over her summer holidays. According to author Adam Schell, Michelle Obama was spotted taking his novel Tomato Rhapsody: A Fable of Love, Lust and Forbidden Fruit with her to Martha's Vineyard.
Tomato Rhapsody is a story of food lust in a Shakespearean setting, complete with an evil olive tycoon, tomato-worshiping Jewish farmer, and love apples. New Yorker Schell is a former chef's apprentice -- among many other things -- who once got fired as a restaurant critic for penning an April Fool's review of a Tibetan-Mexican restaurant that served fermented yak urine tea.
