Because nothing dampens
outrage like the promise of bulk bins and vacuum-packed bags of goji berries, Upper West Siders lined up last night for a preview of the new Whole Foods at 97th Street and Columbus. According to
Racked, the new store, located on the site of a former jazz club, won't be selling as much prepared foods, but will be upping its kosher content in deference to the UWS's demographics. And it will also have a wine shop. Strangely, given the neighborhood's political leanings, there were no protesters at the event, though one Racked commentator did write, "John Mackey can suck it. I'll keep going to Fairway."
