Mexico takes world records seriously: This year alone they have set the records for the most mariachi musicians gathered in one place, the longest catwalk, and more. But the food records are the most...impressive. The country has recently given birth to the largest meatball in the world, weighing in at 109 pounds, and the most monstrous cheesecake, which tipped the scales at two tons, and was cut into 20,000 servings.

But at least one guy was laying off the meatballs and cheesecake. The world's fattest man, a Mexican citizen who once weighed 1,230 pounds, has lost half that.
