This week in food blogs...

Eat Me Daily weighed in on self-proclaimed "queen of the food bloggers" Pim Techamuanvivit's new book The Foodie Handbook: The (Almost) Definitive Guide to Gastronomy. The verdict? As an objective guide, it "just doesn't fly."

Midtown Lunch noted that the Street Vendor Project, which hosts the annual Vendy Awards, went to court to fight for the midtown hot dog lady who had her cart seized by police.

The Food Section discovered that a new Harry Potter theme park will include recreations of the Hog's Head and Three Broomsticks pubs, complete with British fare and butterbeer.

The Feedbag got excited about the new PBS series Avec Eric, praising Eric Ripert's "kissable lips" as well as his "cumulative knowledge of four or five generations of cooks."

The Feed talked to Seamus Mullen, of the Boqueria restaurants, about his upcoming appearance on Iron Chef. Turns out, Iberian is a cuisine to contend with.

The Atlantic Monthly cleared up just who is for a tax on soda and who is against it.

Serious Eats tested which chocolate chips make the best cookies with, um, bittersweet results.
