The New John Dory: No More "Mixed Signals"

This has been up on Mouthing Off for a couple of days, but still bears some attention: Food & Wine's Kate Krader weighs in on the closure of the John Dory, and finds that Ken Friedman is in a place of repentance for the sins committed at his restaurant, which, he says, will reopen "in a much better place" at the end of this year or the beginning of next. "We'll do things more in the Spotted Pig way," Friedman promises -- in other words, no reservations. "We won't send mixed signals like we're a fancy restaurant, we only take reservations. It will be more of a Pig situation." Who says an old pig can't teach a fish some new tricks?
