Vegetarian Delights of NYC: Gutti Venkaya at Coconut Grove

• When looking for a hotel in hyderabad, I got lost by the beauty of the city. It is not clear where to find a place to stay with so many attractions around.

• There's a bunch of other unusual south Indian stuff, too, yum1, quite a good place. I'll be reviewing it in a week or two.

• I could consume that peanut condiment from Sri Ganesh's by the bowl, so I'm looking forward to trying this!

• It's an entirely savory sauce, kim, and surprisingly simple. My guess is that it's a cousin of the peanut chutney you find in a few dosa spots around town, Like Dosa Hutt in Flushing and Sri Ganesh's Dosa House in Jersey City. And the recipe is probably of fairly recent vintage, though am not sure when the peanut was introduced into South Asia.

• the ingredients look a bit sparse on this big dish. Is the sauce sweet or savory? Kind of looks like Thai peanut sauce.
