El Grito de Independencia (The Cry of Independence)

September 15, 6 p.m.-midnight

Celebrate Mexico's independence with free tequila shots and live mariachi. Starting tomorrow, Toloache will feature a special menu, complete with a Margarita de Independencia, Taco de Barbacoa, and patriotic Sopes Tricolor. Free shots of Tres Generaciones tequila will be distributed at midnight.

September 15, 6:30 p.m.

Join Executive Chef Antonio Prontelli for a four-course menu, featuring such summer treats as Beau Soleil Oysters, Heirloom Tomato and Summer Melon Salad, and Riesling-Poached Peaches for dessert. Each course will be paired with a Jacob's Creek wine.

Come get your locavore on at Let Us Eat Local, a meeting of the city's great culinary minds, including chefs from Blue Hill, Jimmy's No. 43, and Marlow & Sons. Some 30 chefs will serve up dishes made from 100 percent local ingredients, paired with craft beer.
