A Dispatch From Our Favorite Restaurant Names

This kebab house in Jersey City has dubbed itself "Horn Okay Please." It's a pretty funny choice, but it does have a meaning. The moniker references the fact that most trucks and rickshaws in India have that exact slogan painted on the back--it used to mean, "please honk if you would like to pass me," but now, at least in big cities, it means, "I will use my horn at all times, and so will you--when we are passing, and when we are tailgating, and when we are swerving, and when we are stuck in traffic, and when we are narrowly missing a collision--and this is okay, thank you." There are two movies that are also called Horn Okay Please, one about to be released from a Bollywood studio.
