The Re-Opening of Panya: Get Ready for Japanese Breakfast
The recently re-opened, expanded Panya includes a large, glassed-in kitchen, whence come all sorts of puffy white breads, cakes, and stuffed rolls, like this corn-tuna-mayo explosion, above. But the kitchen will soon be churning out a much more elaborate hot-food menu. Starting next week, for about $7 you'll be able to get a full Japanese breakfast: broiled fish, miso soup, natto, and rice. There will also be soba noodle soup, curry over rice, and tonkatsu, among other simple, warming plates.
A gutbomb for sure: corn-tuna-mayo roll
Meanwhile, there's not been much progress on the no-name tapas joint that's opening next door.
