'Woman's Day' Goes Wild for Halloween
Woman's Day, the magazine some mothers used to pick up at the supermarket and clip coupons from, has broken out of its staid mode for Halloween. Recently posted online were a gallery of amazing carved pumpkins, some of them actually frightening, like the one at the left commemorating Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds.

Other pumpkins depict a pair of Siamese twins joined at the forehead, a scary Chewbacca from Star Wars, and the Statue of Liberty presented as a pair of pumpkins. Inevitably, a few pumpkins portray food in magnificent size and detail. View the entire gallery here.
