No Cream Puffs for You! Beard Papa's Seized by Marshal

The Astor Place storefront that housed the strange-but-delicious Japanese cream puff chain Beard Papa's, along with the frozen yogurt joint /eks/, has been seized by the city marshal. The landlord, Lafayette-Astor Associates, is the same company that charged rent so high that it put a Barnes and Noble out of business. Lafayette-Astor declined to comment on the exact nature of the complaint.
