Last night, Le Parker Meridien unveiled a holiday gingerbread display, showcasing elaborate architectural confections from bakeries around the city. You can pop by the hotel's atrium anytime during the month of December to take a look, and to donate $1 to City Harvest in order to cast a vote for your favorite house. Jilly Stephens, executive director of City Harvest, said that donations will go to City Harvest in their entirety, each dollar helping to feed a hungry New Yorker.

Sina Clark, of Magnolia Bakery, said that the bakery had to go into overdrive when their gingerbread Grand Central Station collapsed just a day before the deadline; the replacement was made in 24 hours. Clark said that the bakery chose Grand Central Station because it's "iconic and beautiful," but also because the company is about to open a shop there. The gingerbread Grand Central will travel over to the station for display in January.
