Open & Closed: Say Hello to Ofrenda; Goodbye to Rainbow Cafe (in Manhattan)

The Loading Dock, an expansion of Forrest Cole's Choncho's Tacos cart at the Brooklyn Flea, has opened in Downtown Brooklyn. Serving Mexican-style eggs, tacos made with tortillas from Corona's Nixtamal, and Gorilla coffee, it will also act as a gallery.

Peter Poulakakos, whose father Harry Poulakakos owns Harry's Cafe, has introduced Vintry Wine & Whiskey on Stone Street, featuring 80 wines by the glass, as well as 200 whiskeys.

Luis Arce Mota, who used to own Cafe Condesa, has opened Ofrenda, a home-style Mexican in the West Village. Dishes are inspired by his mom and childhood in Mazatlan.

Rainbow Cafe, known for its gutbomb extraordinaire of fried chicken wings stuffed with sticky rice and Chinese sausage, has relocated to Sunset Park.
