The good folks at Sapporo have been trying their hand at a bit of space farming: As part of a project with the Russian Academy of Science, the beer company is now selling a limited supply of beer made from barley whose seeds had been stored for five months on the International Space Station. The Japan Times reports that 250 six-packs of Sapporo Space Barley beer will be sold until December 24, at a cost of 10,000 yen (about $111) apiece. Proceeds from the six-packs will go to support science education; their actual contents will most likely proceed to get a few people drunk.
